Frequently Asked Questions
How do we receive our images?
All images are delivered via an online client gallery called Pixieset. Pixieset is user-friendly and images are really easy to download.
Will my images be shared on social media?
Showing my professional work speaks volumes of my passion for Photography. Typically, I will share my work on social media and on my website. If you have any privacy or safety concerns regarding this, please let me know.
When will we receive our images?
I try to deliver your photos as soon as possible. Generally, it takes me 2-6 weeks to deliver your photos. If you have a special circumstance I may be able to deliver your photos a bit sooner. Some things that may affect delivery times are peak season and unexpected delays.
Do you deliver every image you shoot?
No, I do not. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions (ie. closed eyes), and other images that may not give a favorable product. For example, because I shoot with low apertures, sometimes I take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus. I don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus, so I spend hours doing that on my end. In another example, candid laughs and emotional tears are some of the best images from the day. Unfortunately, they can also yield some unflattering facial expressions. I might snap a few extras of any of these moments to make sure we have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment.
What is your photography style?
I mainly shoot in natural light. I edit in natural colors that give images a warm, soft feel. My approach to capturing your day is a combination of documentary and posed elements.
Do you edit all of the images in our gallery?
Editing is a critical step in the process. I edit anything that involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black-and-white processing, clarity adjustments, tone mapping, and other corrections.
Do you provide RAW/Original files?
It is not in my business policy to let clients view unedited images. I typically do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from my shoots because I believe in delivering a finished product. In fact, I am often shooting with the end (post-produced) product in mind.
